Ecoembes, through its innovation center The Circular Lab, works to improve environmental awareness and values in our society. We joined the project to collaborate in the development of its intuitive application, which allows citizens to know how to recycle easily.
Applying artificial intelligence, we’re creating an innovative way to recycle with a powerful social impact.
Applying the latest techniques in deep learning and trough the Tensorflow framework, we managed to set up a Convolutional Neural Network which, thanks to the power of transfer learning and the computational capability of the newest NVIDIA GPUs, learned to discriminate between different kinds of waste with an accuracy near to 98%.
